It really couldn't be simpler, applying to be a contestant-
all you have to do is send a SAE to

-and you can expect that envelope back within a couple of weeks containing an
application form.
Or, if you want to send in poems for Richard to read at the start of the show,
or you're sending in ties/gypsy creams/other miscellany, leave out the
"contestants" from the title. This also applies if you want to be in the
audience, although obviously you'll have to state how many tickets you want.
Alternatively, you could just e-mail
countdown@channel4.com asking for the forms/sending in your poems. They'll
get your request much faster that way, but then again, not all of us live in
e-mail land.
However, if you're reading this web page, it's a fair guess that you do. So what
are you waiting for?
